Local, social enterprise
SEP Investment Ltd., a social enterprise registered in Sierra Leone, is producing the Flamingo Water Pump at Rokel, Freetown, creating local employment in a safe workshop with fair wages and labor practices.
European design for Sierra Leone
Twente University The Netherlands designed this smart water pump with simple components that enable reliable operation and easy maintenance with local know-how and local parts.
Students from Delft University of Technology, also from the Netherlands have installed three waterpumps, at Rokel, Macdonalds and in Makonkari Village, Tonkolili District in January 2021.
